My life is a never-ending journey. But for my bio, which says what I do for a living, you’d surely think that Anywhere.pl hired a professional traveller and Polish Railways PKP enthusiast.

You couldn’t be more wrong. I’d even say that I’d never get on a train again if I could. But it’s impossible, so I must accept everything life has in store for me. And it just so happens that a journey with our national carrier may be quite an experience. Recently, when I was getting on the train, I thought it might be ordinary this time. I might go from point A to point B in peace. Unfortunately, books on positive thinking and affirmation of life haven’t taken into account travelling with Polish Railways PKP. Behind me were sitting two little girls, about 4 years old, and in a row next to them, there was their father, I suppose. A businessman with a laptop and a mobile phone. The businessman, in between business phone calls, gave his daughters his iPad to make their journey more pleasant. Everything was beginning to work out – the businessman was carrying out his duties in peace, sending e-mails, receiving hectolitres of phone orders. Time was going by, and the girls weren’t bored thanks to Steve Job’s toy. All of a sudden, the businessman’s peace was disrupted in quite a brutal way. The young ladies found a website with difficult words they didn’t understand. So they decided to ask their father out loud, ‘Dad, what’s a penis? A faggot? A paedophile? ’For the first time in my life, I saw a man who dropped his phone, laptop, and jaw at the same time; whose hands were down; and who asked without a word ‘What have I done to deserve this?’This is the end of the world, I thought. Man, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you. Just take it on the chin. Everyone held their breath. The businessman picked up his jaw and electronic equipment, took his iPad without a word, and asked them after a while, ‘Would you like a bun?’
