New fairy-like illuminations, treats, original gifts and magical atmosphere. Christmas Fair is back at Targ Węglowy. From November 19th to December 24th, in historic city center, you can feel unique holiday spirit.
Christmas Fair in Gdańsk, like many in Europe, started on November 19th for those who like to make Christmas preparations early. Following long tradition, Fair’s offer is based on local products created by local artists and craftsman. You will find there many regional culinary treats and food created from family recipes. Christmas Fairs this year will also be full on novelties – new streets, thematical corners and fresh Venetian Carousel.
Fair’s novelties
This year, characteristic huts are located next to Tkacka and Bogusławskiego streets. It means, that stands will be more exposed and the comfort and safety of visitors and sellers will be taken into consideration. Fair was organized with COVID-19 restrictions in mind. Novelties at Fair are thematical corners, in many variations, inviting older and younger visitors. Santa’s corner, Moose’s and even Happy Corner – those are the places where, amid warm lights, mulled wine and a smell of tasty treats, we can experience not only international cuisine but also gingerbread or fruits dipped in chocolate. Presents seekers will be able to choose something from many handmade items.
Unique attractions
For this edition of Christmas Fair, a Venetian Carousel was created in an Italian manufacture! You can also see Catherina the Talking Chest and shiny throne of St. Nicholas, sitting next to the stage. There will also be a great snowball with a special bike thanks to which there will definitely be enough snow and Magic Igloo. Thanks to a long-lived tradition of Christmas Fair in Gdańsk, advent gate invited the visitors with a calendar and treats. There will also be many colorful parades and St. Nicolas visits!

Christmas Fair is an annual event, a part of “Launching Christmas in Gdańsk” initiative. The part of this event is also a very close to us initiative called #GiveHeartForChristmas, because the Fair is also participating in many charities and activities supporting good causes. It’s a place where all dreams and joys come together with a little bit of worries on the side.
